About Rhiannon Kemp-Davies

I am am a first time business owner specialising in sex toys for women with an emphasis on health and education. I give consultations to individuals or couples - they can book me in for me to come and visit them in the privacy and comfort of their own home. I will bring a selection of demo toys that I stock with me and we will have a look at them together and chat about any questions the person has. I then have stock available right there and then to sell to the customer. I also do sex toy soirees for groups of woman who want to make a night of it - they are classy, giggly and an open forum to discuss toys.

Erectile Dysfunction

I’m gonna put my hands up. I don’t write enough content for men on here.

I would usually justify that by explaining that I am not a specialist in men’s sexual health, and I think that this is a fair reason to not write about it. I also understand that quite a few men visit my blog to help them become better lovers to women, so thought that this would be a good opportunity to raise awareness of erectile dysfunction. A topic that can make men feel very uncomfortable.

I am therefore providing you with a link to an article written by Juno Medical. A company that puts a lot of research into services provided within the healthcare profession.

This article is informed and is detailed, and it looks at ED from every angle, explaining why it can happen and what kind of changes can be made, and the different routes that could be taken.

This is a helpful piece of writing so make sure you read it –

Thanks, Rhiannon xx

Rhiannon is moving into Education and we need YOU!

Hello hello hello!

How are you all? Long time no see, I know, I know.

That’s The Spot and myself have been through some changes.

I set this business up almost 3 years ago because I was a complete nerd about sex toys and want to show people how cool they were! As the business has evolved, my nerdiness has moved towards the educational and advice side. Although I love selling sex toys, I love educating and empowering people even more, I have therefore made a decision to give the keys to the eCommerce side of the business to somebody I know well who is even geekier than me about sex toys!

I am focussing on other projects now, and the main one is all about sex education. In order to make this new project run as well as it can do, I have set up a Patreon account where I am going to ask people to pledge just $1 a month to get access to my educational material. It won’t just be that, I will be sharing a helluva lot of gold on there, and I want to develop a support network full of my biggest fans, who will become my VIPs and get very special treatment and help change the face of sex education in the UK.

If you’re intrigued and want to know more, visit my page and learn more. I reckon I’m worth $1 a month!

Yes – it is in dollars. Patreon is American and right now, only accepts $ as payments. I am British, so will get a lot of British pledges. I hope that paying in dollars doesn’t put you off. I have started gaining Patrons and just be aware that some of my British supporters have had a couple of problems, but please persist, and I believe that the third time is a charm! Failing that, feel free to make a one of donation in sterling via Paypal to

After I post this, I am going to start removing more of the education-style posts from this blog and put them on the Patreon account for my paying patrons, and will continue to post educational content only to Patreon. You can still expect posts on here about events and spotlights on toys too, so don’t leave, but if you want to read my educational stuff and want to get to know me a bit more, send me a $1 a month and it’s all yours!!!

I will still be involved with That’s The Spot, but have now handed the reigns over, which you will learn more about in the coming months!

I look forward to receiving some of you to my Patreon page. This is going to be an exciting journey and you are going to be a part of it!

Give the Human Library a go at Cardiff Library

Hi all!

Next week is the second Human Library event in Cardiff and I managed to make enough of an impression at the pilot that they have invited me back!

The Human Library is a great concept. It is where people become human books, and other people can come along and ‘read’ the book, which, on this occasion, means to chat with a person about the specialist knowledge they have. There is a great line up of various ‘books’ for the event next Saturday, the 18th of February.

Some other titles include:

Supporting loved ones with dementia

Social Model for disability

Female Genital Mutilation

Who am I – life as an adopted person.

There are loads more, and you can book yourself in for a 30 minute conversation with any of the books, which you can find hereIt is taking place from 11-4.30 and you can ‘read’ as many ‘books’ as you want to. Each slot lasts for 30 minutes, and it is free! I would recommend booking in advance if there are books you definitely want to read. There may be space on the day for some books but it can’t be guaranteed. It all depends on who is savvy enough to sign up!

So if you live in or around Cardiff and fancy hearing some interesting life stories, meeting some interesting people or educating yourself on something new, all for free, this will be the place to be.

For those who enjoy reading my blog but haven’t yet had the chance to meet me, this could be the opportunity for you! I will be there from 11-3 and will bring some toys for people to have a look at if they want, but this more an opportunity to chat rather than check out some sex toys!

You can read all about it on their Facebook Page or their website and remember to book yourself a place!

For now, have a lovely week.

My episode on Pillow Play, which I can give you for half price!

Last year I wrote a review of Pillow Play for Diva Magazine, when I was their Sex/Life writer. It was in the print magazine so you’d need to order a back-order, otherwise, here is my online article I wrote that linked in with the review.

Pillow Play is an app designed to encourage intimacy between partners, regardless of gender or sexuality. I know though –  the word ‘app’ and ‘intimacy’ don’t seem to go together, do they! I’ll tell ya what, though, in this instance, they definitely do! I will leave you to read the details on the actual website but here are the basics:

The app consists of a series of audio scripts that direct an exchange between you and your partner that promotes intimacy. All you need to do is press play, then you can focus on you and your partner. So yes it’s an app, but the app’s service is given over audio, so you don’t have to go back to the app at all whilst you are following the directions given to you both.

The thing I find most fabulous about it, is that it doesn’t involve any genital touching, which is BRILLIANT. It’s up to you what you want to do after the episode has finished, but what Pillow Play does is encourage thoughtful foreplay, or more importantly, different ways of reaching that feeling of intimacy with each other, and that lovely yummy squishy feeling of closeness.

The app shows you many different ways of getting intimate, there is a different theme to each episode, so there is something for everybody. What it does is inspire you, and also helps you both give up control. It allows you to not have to think. It might sound weird, but surrendering yourself to a state of non-thinking is a powerful and rewarding act, and it also increases the focus on each other and yourselves.

I thoroughly recommended this app to the readers of Diva, and after that, I ended up building a relationship with the founder of the creator of Pillow Play, Darren, and I ended up writing my own episode for them!

If I were to pinpoint my area of expertise, it would be physical pleasure with sex toys. The episode written by me is therefore focused on introducing a bullet vibrator into the bedroom, and how to use it without touching the genitals.

I would love for you lot to listen to it and see what you think. It is a great way to break that barrier that many couples have of bringing a toy into the bedroom, and it is a reassuring episode to show you that sex toys aren’t the scary things that some people think they might be. The episode is called ‘Toy Tease’.

And guess what, I because I am one of the authors, I get to give you a DISCOUNT!

When the app is purchased, the buyer gets themselves all 30 of the episodes from Pillow Play, , only for $99 (although it is British made, there are justified reasons why it is in only dollars rather than British pounds) – so with 30 episodes, it’s only $3.30 per episode, or £2.65. This is already a great deal. As the two of you are using it, you can even go as far to say that it is £1.32 (and a half) each.

BUT! What I can do is HALVE the price and offer it to you for $49 only, which is only £1.30 per episode (75p each!). BRRILLLIANT! And how timely for Valentine’s day!

I should ‘warn’ you though, as it charges in dollars, it will ask you to pay some tax, too

(In the interest of transparency, I want to let you know that I am an affiliate of Pillow Play, so I will get a percentage of the amount you spend. So it would be great if you can make sure that you click on the links on this post to make sure that I do get a cut of it. After all, if you read my blog regularly, you have been getting a lot of good information for free already 😉 and on top of that, no payment swapped hands in the writing of this episode)

I was recommending this app way before I got involved with it, so for $49, which is only £39, I reckon you should go for it. I look forward to hearing your feedback on the app!

Enhance your Sex Life with These 5 Foods

I would like to welcome Jeff Caceres as a guest blogger to my blog. Jeff Caceres is a freelance blogger who is passionate to share what he knows about improving relationships of families and friends. You can check out his website at Her Online Network to learn more about the tips and advice that he had about sex, parenting, women and family.

Here is his first post, where he shares the best foods to enhance our sex lives! Enjoy!

One of the luxuries of life that humankind has is Sex. It is one of the essential intimate rituals enjoyed by couples , individuals, multiple lovers and people indulging in th is pleasurable activity, especially when they share the same passion. In the course of our lives, the ebbing of our sexual urges will happen at some point in our lifetime. In some cases, the pleasure disappears prematurely. In effect, a hot sizzling relationship fizzles out severing relationships. Don’t despair, besides those over the counter remedies are natural edible foods that will perk up the fantasies stuck within our souls and erupt in glorious fashion.
Here is the list of the five amazing and foods for enhancing your sex life:
1. Avocados – The ancient Aztecs refer to this libido enhancer as testicles. The shape looks like it. This fruit is known to be a sexual enhancer due to its rich content of unsaturated fat and oppositely low on saturated fat. It keeps your circulatory works active and pumping. Blood flow is flowing in all the required chambers. Eating this fruit alone gives less risk to heart ailments.

2. Almonds – They are also on top of the sexual stimulants. This snack also aids the fertility aspect for both men and women . Almonds are rich in Selenium, Zinc, and Vitamin E is essential to your sexual health and reproductive system. It’s like asparagus, another sexy food that drives you crazy . Cashews are also actively rich with zinc to keep the blood and juices flowing.

Aside from almonds, these kinds of nuts are sexual stimulators:

• Walnuts
• Peanuts
• Pecans
• Hazelnuts
• Sunflower seeds
• Pumpkin seeds

3. Strawberries – These kinds of foods are ones that could boil your blood when at a frenzy with your mate in all kinds of relationships . Studies show that these fruits keep the baby healthy and ward off the threat of congenital disabilities during pregnancy. It also increases the sperm count of males. The chocolate dipped strawberry is a libido booster. Now you know why chocolates are such popular gifts for Valentine’s Day. Chocolates are sexual stimulators because of the presence of methylxanthines, an upper for sexual stimulation.

4. Seafood – They are potent sexual stimulators. Aphrodisiac properties of oysters had been around for centuries. Some people lambast this belief as a myth. Research proves that there is a reality to this. Studies show that the consumption of oysters, clams, scallops and other shellfish raise the levels of oestrogen and androgens. Oysters are rich in Zinc that streams up the blood flow to the genitals of men and women. The blood flow to the right places means a heavenly eruption is about to converge.

5. Garlic – Mothers use to warn their sons and daughters not to eat garlic before a date. The odor of garlic in one’s mouth is unbearable. But this spice rattles the circulatory system and pumps your blood to all the appropriate places, and that includes before a date. Garlic is the herb of prevention for hypertension, heart diseases, and high cholesterol. Coagulation is thwarted in the blood vessels thereby speeding up blood circulation. With the help of garlic, it is perfect for you and your partner in bed. The strong smell is negligible when both of you ate it earlier.
There are more blood heating and circulatory enhancements that alleviate sexual libido. The top 5 are just some of the great ones. Aren’t you glad that these foods are around in aid of sexual pleasures and intimacy? Get one and enjoy your evening.

The Ruby Glow

Every now and again, a toy comes on to the market that excites, impresses me and warrants a blog post to dedicate to it. It’s the toys that have something completely different about them that appeal to me and make me proud to be in this business.

Ruby Glow is one of these toys. It came out earlier this year and I was wowed by it straight away and I’m gutted that I haven’t made the time to write about it yet. Not long after coming out, it was nominated for “Most Innovative New Product 2016” at the ETO awards – the industry awards. It also won “Most Innovative New Toy 2016” at the Sign Magazine’s awards.

Ruby Glow was invented by Tabitha Rayne, an erotica writer and blogger (and now inventor!). Even when somebody is used to writing erotica, it can still, as you can imagine, still get one a bit hot and bothered every now and again! This was the original premise of the Ruby Glow – to provide some physical pleasure whilst typing erotica, but it has now become so much more than this.

The basics of the Ruby Glow is that it is a vibrator that you can sit on – with or without clothes. It is saddle shaped with a soft bump on either side, one ribbed, one smooth – each side has a motor in it. You can put both motors on, or one or the other, all depending on what you fancy. It has 10 different vibration settings in both motors. The buttons are at the front of the toy, so when you are sat on it, you can change the vibration modes if you want. You could have one motor giving you one sensation whilst the other motor gives you a different one. Party! It is made from silicone, the healthiest material for sex toys and it only requires 2 AAA batteries. It isn’t fully waterproof so don’t submerge, but it is splash proof so can be washed easily.

As this is a toy that you can sit on, imagine how good it is for people who can’t use their hands or wrists properly, or have limited mobility. The Ruby Glow has made it possible for people who can’t use a lot of vibrators… to use!

So if you don’t have functioning arms, if you are a wheelchair user, if you have aches and pains, this toy is the answer to your ‘prayers’.

If you are a fully able person who can use any toy they want, here is the perk for you – you can watch porn when you’re sat on this. You can read erotica sat on it. You can even pop it on the couch when you get home from work and sit down for a bit whilst you are catching up with social media or your recording of Home and Away. It doesn’t have to be your main focus when you are using it. It can just be a little pleasurable feeling to help you relax and smile for a bit! (I could be sat on one right now!) Imagine how fabulous this would be for sexy Skype times with your long distance lover.

You could use the Ruby Glow with your partner too. Imagine you are a woman sat on a chair wearing  strap-on, your female or male partner is straddling you so you’re not only getting the pleasure from her/him riding you, but also you’re getting some vibrations on your clit, perineum and/or vaginal entrance – you’re adding layers to your pleasure.

You could use this for a power play scenario too, get your partner to sit on it and control what she feels.
If you’re a woman giving oral sex, you could position yourself so that you are getting some ‘Ruby Glow pleasure’. The possibilities are endless!

The Good Housekeeping guide rated it number 2 in their vibrator reviews earlier this year.

It also appeared on Good Morning by Tracey Cox!

I really do take my hat off to Tabitha Rayne for inventing this toy and to Rocks Off for working with her on making this toy a reality. The Best of Britain! This is a bloody brilliant toy and I recommend you get this for any friends that may have arthritis or limited mobility. For what it is, it’s a great price and also comes with a 6-month warranty.

Now don’t delay, give it a go!

For American/Californian Readers, and it’s not about Trump!

This post is for anybody who lives in or knows somebody who lives in California. I would love it if you could share this post to make everybody aware of how misleading Proposition 60 is and to vote against it.

I listen to quite a few sex podcasts and most of them are America-based. Something that they have all been discussing for the last few weeks is Proposition 60. This is a California-focussed proposition and the whole sex worker community is against it and is urging everybody to vote against it. It sounds good to begin with – to make sure that condoms are worn in all pornography, but as soon as you dig beneath the surface, it becomes ridiculous. Something that makes me very uncomfortable is the fact that if this is voted through, no pornstar’s life will be private, and anybody could get their address if they wanted. How invasive is that? There is more to it than that, but for me, this is what worries me the most.

The guests that all of the podcasts have been talking to about this are all intelligent and informed sex workers who have been in the industry for years and who can see how much this will change the face of porn, in a bad way!

To read more about it and find out how absurd it is, go to this website and also download the most recent episodes of The Whorecast to listen to discussions between sex workers about the impact this couldhave on their lives

There are 3 days until the vote so share this ASAP!

Do You Want To Read Some More Detailed Articles From Me?

As per my post from last week, I listed all of the articles I had written for Diva. These were all stand-alone articles. I also write articles for Planet Nation, which is a community website for LBQ women in the UK. The articles I write for them follow on from each other, in small readable chunks. I will admit that I haven’t written one for them for a couple of months, but we posted the newest one yesterday!

If you would like to read them from the start, here are the links. The whole reason I write these particular articles is to almost walk you through the stages of masturbation through helping you understand your body a bit more and see the odd statistic here and there, and then give you some hints and tips on getting the most out of your solo sexploits.

For a good part of this year, I was the resident ‘sexpert’ for Diva Magazine – the national lesbian magazine in the UK. A couple of months ago, Diva was bought by another company and unfortunately I didn’t make ‘the cut’. I therefore thought that this was a good opportunity for me to put links to all of the articles in one blog post, so if you want to read more of my writing outside of this blog, you can do. I also wrote articles for their print magazines but you’ll have to buy back copies to read those!

I shall put them here in chronological order, with January being the first one:

Polycystic Ovaries and how to deal with them

I attended a conference yesterday (Saturday the 15th) and it was a conference for women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. I was diagnosed with having this condition when I was 15. I got it checked again when I was 23 (the diagnosis when I was 15 was based on that fact that the ultrasound scan couldn’t find my ovaries, which was a sign that my ovaries were small and poorly!)

Having had a sharp increase in anxiety and weight gain over the last year, I thought it was time to think a bit more about the impact that PCOS was having on me, and what I could do to ‘make it better’

The conference was jam-packed full of speakers who had the perfect specialities for women like us. I learned one big myth, which was that there are no cysts involved! As a result of this, they are working on a name change. It also hit home when they spoke about our risks of getting type 2 diabetes and that being overweight accelerated this process. Oh, the other thing that helped me was that I need to make peace with the fact that I can’t expect loads of weight loss, but should still strive to be as fit and healthy as I can, even if it means having to shop in Evans for the rest of my life! (I kid. I’m not my mum and I am quite butch nowadays!)

I am going to stop myself from sharing with you all of the information I learned, because this post will go on forever! What I am going to say is that the speakers were of such a high calibre, and my goodness, we got a lot for the price we paid for the conference – £45 for 7 different talks, and we were fed really well too! My wife came with me and we were welcomed so warmly, and I must say, I felt like I was with ‘my people’ (if it was a conference for queer women with PCOS it would have been the ultimate ‘my people’!) By chatting with different women there, I was quick to see the various frustrations that come with having PCOS – whether it is hair loss, hirutism, difficulty in losing weight, anxiety and depression, acne, irregular periods and the added worry of the fact that us women are insulin resistant, which can increase the likelihood of us getting type 2 diabetes (3-fold) and cardiovascular diseases. With these discussions came a bit of relief in knowing that there is a reason my body is like this and also that I wasn’t alone. The bigger picture was that this was affecting everybody’s self-esteem.

The charity that holds this conference annually is called Verity. This is the only charity that focuses on PCOS, and I am grateful for this. I got to see the AGM in action, which was actually really informative and helpful! When it came to money, they shared with us the annual income of various charities and showed us what their income was in comparison. My goodness, I tell you, these women do so much for the world of PCOS in their spare time with so little money – all on a voluntary basis!

The reason I am writing this blog is to raise awareness of Verity and the work they do for PCOS that nobody else does. I am signing up to be a member in the next few days, which is only £15 for the year, and this includes getting money off your ticket to the conference (this year it was £10) and access to various information booklets, as well as a digital magazine. They also have a members area, which I think would be great for me, now that I am exploring this aspect of my life a bit more.

So. For those who have PCOS (oh, I also learned that some of us just have PCO without it being a syndrome) or those who know women with PCOS, please consider a donation or joining. They really don’t ask for much money, considering the benefits, and the hard work that they do for their members. If you could see how much money the big well-known charities make, you may see that it would be worth sending a fiver over to Verity instead every now and again!

There was a general consensus that PCOS isn’t taken too seriously by the medical professions, yet it affects 1 in 5 women in the UK. I remember the second time I was diagnosed – the Dr was so vague and nonchalant about it. I didn’t feel like I was being taken seriously.

Even if you donated a pound, it would help (that whole thing of ‘if everybody did a little’!) Please share this blog to raise awareness. I know that there are so many different charities out there and it is difficult to give money to them all. I get that. This is my agenda and if you think that it is anybody else’s agenda, let them know about it!

With love,

Rhiannon xx
